Breaking for Summer - Not Really!

We had a wonderful turn out this past Saturday -
our final session before taking July and August off.
Well, not really - we prepared many items
to be stitched up over the summer!

Here is Alice who came for the first time ---
for those of you who have told me "I really want
to come, just keep forgetting" -- Alice actually
came!  And she cut out several dresses - so glad to have her!

We have an abundance of quilts cut out and ready to
sew -- many were taken home this day.
About 20 of them will be delivered this week
to local Pregnancy Resource Centers!

Even though this is really out of focus -- I couldn't
resist posting any way!  You can see our dear
Roberta (you know, recently "evicted" from
hospice care) -- she looks pretty intimidating
with that batting roller!  We just love, love
that her family makes sure she can come !
What a joy == true joy!!

Our work crew on this day --
what a wonderful team of women
serving local mothers as well as
families in Haiti.
Thank you Lord - Merci Jesus!!

So, our story continues over the summer --
machines will continue to run and hands
continue to work for the Lord.

HAITI CHILDREN'S HOME UPDATE:
We are gathering information and more
details on the quilt project -- not all 77 quilts
need to be made right away as the building
will go up in phases.

Stay tuned for further word on this!

God Bless You All !
Bondye beni ou tout !  (creole)

Love,
Jan and the SILK Ladies
